Think. Spiders Think.
Ever wonder what a spider thinks when we stare at it and it stares back at us?
Is it curiosity?
Is it fear?
Is it anger?
Ever wonder if they think that they even feel or think?
Love?
Sacrifice?
Hate?
Or is it just chemicals within the brain that causes it to "tick"?
Don Marquis seems to think so in his poem: Pity the Poor Spiders.
His poem portrays a hard working mother spider trying to provide sustenance for her children, but she can't because humans are killing all the flies.
